Discover the Secrets of Puerto Rico
Bacardi Tour & Old San Juan
About this Tour
Treat yourself to a fascinating guided tour of the “Cathedral of Rum” at Casa Bacardí. Located on the outskirts of Cataño, this popular tourist attraction is home to the world’s largest Bacardí distillery. The Bacardi Tour offers visitors a chance to explore and discover the process of rum making.
You’ll see everything, from the vast fermentation vats to the high-speed bottling machinery at work, as you tour the grounds where over 100,000 liters of rum are produced every single day. Then you’ll board a trolley to Casa Bacardí’s family museum where you’ll learn about their history, how the rum is made, as well as see examples of the very first Bacardí bottles. The distillery portion of the Bacardi Tour ends at the lofty, waterfront Bat Bar Pavilion, which can been seen from across the bay from Old San Juan. You’ll be able to enjoy the views while sampling the world-famous rum or purchase souvenirs or a variety of Bacardi products at the gift shop.
Next, we’ll take you on a guided tour strolling the streets of Old San Juan with visits to Princesa’s Pathway, San Juan Cathedral, residential areas and Governor’s Palace (not inside the palace), Capilla de Cristo, as well as the narrowest house in the world. The portion of the excursion also allows for walking time to visit restaurants and shops.
Tour time is approximately 5 hours and we’ll return you to you hotel or resort.
